This Fall at the Albany Symphony

Embark on another thrilling adventure with David Alan Miller and the intrepid Albany Symphony. Following #WaterMusicNY, the summer tour celebrating the Erie Canal's Bicentennial, the Albany Symphony returns to Albany for a spectacular season filled with timeless classics and colorful contemporary masterpieces by some of today's best composers.

A DAZZLING OPENING NIGHT OF HOLLYWOOD FAVORITES

OCTOBER 14, 2017 // PALACE THEATRE- ALBANY, NY

The new season begins with a festive celebration of Hollywood masters John Williams and Erich Korngold.  Hear the iconic Star Wars Suite paired with Korngold's lush Violin Concerto performed by the dazzling violinist, Simone Porter.  Tickets to Opening Night start at just $15.

Immediately following the performance, join David Alan Miller for the Albany Symphony's Opening Night Gala. Gala tickets sold separately

GHOSTS, SORCERERS & THE RITE OF SPRING

NOVEMBER 18, 2017 // PALACE THEATRE - ALBANY, NY

The season continues with a mystical evening of works inspired by legends and tall tales. Listen adventurously to a musical retelling of Washington Irving's timeless tale of Rip Van Winkle by American composer David Del Tredici and the famous Sorcerer's Apprentice by Dukas.  Then, experience David Alan Miller's first performance of Stravinsky's savage masterpiece with the Albany Symphony.
