The Albany Symphony is saddened by the loss of our beloved board member and friend, Dr. Heinrich Medicus.  

Heinrich led a wonderful life, full of the satisfaction of knowing what an enormous impact he had on our entire community.  We will miss his great company, insight, wit, and love of music and art. As one of Maestro David Alan Miller’s close friends and advisors, Heinrich was responsible for  bringing the best guest artists and musicians to the Albany Symphony.

His vision and passion for the Albany Symphony were transformative, not only for the Symphony, but for the Capital Region. Every concert will hold our deep gratitude, love, and admiration for this remarkable man.
