Come for a special evening of music by a quintet from the Albany Symphony, paired with the one-of-a-kind sunset vista from Olana’s East Lawn. Relax on your own blanket or in your own chairs as the sun sets over the Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains. Albany Symphony oboist Grace Shryock has curated a delightful program featuring a variety of creative voices to match the beauty and inspiration of Olana’s setting. The event is free and all are welcome. Park gates close at dark.

8:00am to sunset – Explore Olana State Historic Site’s 250 acre public parkOlana offers 5 miles of carriage roads are free and open for exploration from 8AM to sunset. Leashed dogs welcome. Olana is a carry-in-carry-out park.
10:00am to 5:00pm – Thomas Cole National Historic Site tours
Situated just across the Hudson from Olana in Catskill, New York, the Thomas Cole National Historic Site preserves and interprets the home and studios of Thomas Cole, the founder of the Hudson River School of painting, the nation's first major art movement. Observing Summer Wildflowers: A One-Day Drawing & Journaling Workshop for All Ages. Spend time outside drawing summer blooms and learn more about how to capture your own outdoor observations on paper with botanical artist Wendy Hollender. Open to all ages and skill levels, families are encouraged to attend; $25 per person, ($15 members). Materials will be provided.
