The Albany Symphony is proud to be a partner orchestra of the National Alliance for Audition Support (NAAS), an unprecedented national initiative to increase diversity in American orchestras. NAAS will do so by offering Black and Latinx musicians a customized combination of mentoring, audition preparation, financial support, and audition reviews.

The Preliminary Round will be held on Sunday, April 6. If scheduling requires, Semi-final and Final Rounds will be held on Monday, April 7.

Positions to begin in 2025 - 2026 Season.

The Albany Symphony is a per service orchestra. 2025-2026 base scale rate of pay is $134.13/service. This position also receives a 10% "chamber winds" premium.

Application must be complete and deposit requirement fulfilled in order to receive a time slot for this audition.

Candidates will receive a scheduled time slot by March 27, 2025.

Please note that applicants must agree to pay a $50 no-show fee if they are not able to make their scheduled audition time and do not request cancellation or appeal their timeslot within three days of being notified of their schedule assignment.
