PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN & SCHOOLS
Symphony in Our Schools
ASO musicians visit elementary classrooms in pairs for up-close demonstrations of the instruments and how they work together. Educators who participate in the program also have access to solo instrument video presentations provided by ASO musicians.
Music teachers and district administrators can enroll in the program by contacting patronservices@albanysymphony.com.

Literacy Through Songwriting
Middle school students work with teaching artists and a Composer Educator to create original pieces.
The Endangered Project
Tanner Porter, Carlos Banderas, and Takuma Itoh are paired with students from one of three schools in the Capital Region to tell the story of an endangered species or ecosystem.
