A lifelong love of music begins at a young age and the benefits of an early music education have been well documented. As adults we often reminisce on the magic years of our childhood and almost always have a song or a melody that ties our childhood memories together. For children, music stimulates the imagination and brings them on thrilling adventures to magical worlds.

From the galloping rhythms of the William Tell Overture, to the mysterious melodies of In The Hall of the Mountain King by Edvard Greig, music stirs the imagination and is worthy of support.

This year, hundreds of pre-school children from around the Capital Region will join Maestro David Alan Miller and the Albany Symphony on heroic musical adventure to save orchestra music from being stolen by the diabolical Music Miser. Through the Albany Symphony’s Tiny Tots program, the Albany Symphony is teaching children (and their parents) that it is ok to use your imagination. Tiny Tots is also a great way to introduce young learners to the instruments of the orchestra and timeless melodies that we know and love.
