Jazz violinist and Convergence Curating Artist Regina Carter returns for the continuation of Gone in a Phrase of Air, an exploration of the impact of “urban renewal” on African American and immigrant communities. Join us for an interactive discussion with members of our community displaced or impacted by the construction of the Empire State Plaza. Next season, the histories collected at this and other events will be incorporated into a new piece of music Carter and the Symphony will premiere as part of our annual American Music Festival. Come early for a meet-and-greet with light fare, and stay after for a special 2022-2023 Albany Symphony Season Preview presentation by Music Director David Alan Miller.
