Convergence Artist Gathering
with Curating Artist Marc Bamuthi Joseph
Capital Region Creatives: Come be a part of Convergence! This initiative places community artists and Albany Symphony musicians in Albany High School classes and at free public events in the Arbor Hill and Delaware neighborhoods to explore Black American experiences through music, dance, spoken word, and more.
We are looking for poets, dancers, singers, drummers, writers, anyone who considers themselves serious about their artistic practice. Join Albany Symphony and social impact and artistic innovator Marc Bamuthi Joseph for this community creative brainstorm about projects for the Symphony’s 2022-23 season, culminating in our Convergence-themed American Music Festival in June 2023.
