Discover the next generation of young composers, as three of the very best have new works read for the very first time by David Alan Miller and the entire Albany Symphony. Composers are chosen through a national competition. The orchestra spends 40 minutes rehearsing, then reading through each of the three winning compositions. At the end of the evening, all audience members, orchestra musicians, and composers are invited onstage for a fascinating post-mortem. If you’ve ever wondered how composers create their works or how an orchestra brings them into the world, you won’t want to miss this unique session.
