Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy Executive Director Mark King will lead this family-friendly hike on one of the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy's recently acquired easements, the Margaret Craven Snowden property, adjacent to the Heldeberg Workshop in the Town of New Scotland. This exclusive Albany Symphony hike on private property will explore the beauty of the Conservancy’s Helderberg Conservation Corridor. Enjoy a waterfall, wildflowers and unique, scenic views of the Helderberg Escarpment from below. Hikers will encounter an active beaver pond and there may be sightings of red efts or other amphibians. Easy to moderate difficulty, approximately 2 hours.

Recommended: Waterproof hiking boots or galoshes, hat, sunscreen, bug spray, water and snacks. 

Directions to Hike: From the 4 corners in Delmar NY- Head West on Kenwood Ave (Rte 140) to New Scotland Rd (NY-85 W) for 1.7 miles; Turn slightly Left and continue on New Scotland Rd for 5.5 miles; At New Salem turn Right on 85A East for .6 miles and turn Left on Picard Rd (Co Hwy 306).  In approximately 1 mile turn Left on Martin Road Extension; hike and parking on left.

Reservations are required. Limited to 25 hikers.
