Japanese Puppet Theatre
Featured is one of our cellists, Hikaru Tamaki, performing an excerpt of Bunraku by Toshiro Mayuzumi. In addition to this beautiful performance, Hikaruwas kind enough to enlighten us all to the world of Bunraku, a form of Japanese puppetry. Bunraku is a beautiful, intricate art form. Linked below is a documentary on Bunraku and Hikaru's full performance, it is super interesting and definitely worth the watch!
Albany Symphony Hour
This weekend's Albany Symphony Hour is canceled in observance of Good Friday but will be back next Friday, April 9th at 6pm!
Welcoming back Tanner Porter!
We are thrilled to welcome Tanner Porter back for our next concert on April 24th, Haydn & Schubert where we will be premiering a new work of hers. Be sure to check her website and her other pieces, she is an extraordinary emerging talent!
